Tunnel Rehabilitation
The Cottonwood Siphon Slipline project involved installing a 142” steel liner into an existing underground concrete water tunnel over a distance of 250+ linear feet. The method consisted of placing 28 individually prefabricated steel casing rings into the existing concrete liner. Each was placed and individually welded on-site, then grouted and epoxy coated.
The project earned the 2020 Colorado Contractors Association H2O Project Award for utilization of unique, effective construction techniques that allowed for safe installation, an accelerated schedule and a superior result.
